This edition of Special Collections features radio field recordings made on December 20th 2015 while traveling westbound on Interstate 10 between Sonora and El Paso. The wide open spaces of West Texas hold unseen treasures. These recordings reveal the nature of radio at the edge of transmission and reception, creating a sonic cartography of the radio horizon and the borderland of vacant frequency.
